From Body to Place, created by the Austrianperformer, Amanda Piña and thinging bodies,
by the Chilean artist, Ayşe Orhon, make up an international program of
live art that takes place in museums and revolves around the performance
proposals of the Ministry of Movement Affairs (BMfB).
For
the purpose of strengthening the continuity between modern dance and
action art, this event offers a structured program divided into three
fields of activities. Through performances, art workshops and
presentations by researchers, participants in the program will gain
insight into the relationship between movement, body, the production of
public space and implementation processes.
The
idea is to create the potential—essential for the favourable reception
of live art in a museum environment—, for implementing a plan that will
be developed and expanded in terms of education, performance and
reflection. This plan will not only respond to the notion of making
performanceartwork more visible, but it will also create a context to
facilitate relationships, thought, research and discourse through the
practice of these arts.
The
program consists of two cycles of activities focussing on themes
related to parainstitutionalism and movement, on the one hand, and body
and potential, on the other.
PARAINSTITUTIONALISM AND MOVEMENT
CYCLE 1
This program deals with parainstitutional practices and body movement in public spaces as implementation processes.
By
implementation processes we are referring to processes that spill over
into extra-disciplinary areas and form a self-organising system able to
transform pre-established institutionalism. In this regard, the first
program involves the study and experimentation of the movement of the
body in public spaces and the experiences that may arise out of this
movement in order to promote implementation processes in a local
context.
In the scope of this program, Austria’s Ministry of Movement Affairs (BMfB) it promotes the creation of new institutional forms with legal recognition. The performer Amanda Piña will also teach a workshop entitledThe Political Body / Choreography in the Realm of Corporal Disobedience. www.BMfB.at
The
Galician Institute of Current Practice (IGAPA), the counterpart of the
BMfB in Galicia, will be set up to promote a community of professionals
and citizens revolving around new ways of execution in the field of arts
and social affairs.
A conference entitledProcesos instituyentes en la praxis artística (Implementation
processes in current artistic practice) will be held at the same time,
given by Ania González, cultural critic, and Horacio González, sound
artist and programmer.

BODY AND POTENTIAL
CYCLE 2
The
second program offers a reflection on the body and its potential. To
paraphrase the famous comment by the philosopher B. Spinoza on what a
body can do, in ‘From Body to Place,’ we wondered, how much and how many
bodies can—a fundamental question underlying the meaning of dance, art,
body and collectivity.
Here, the Turkish artist and choreographer Ayşe Orhon will present, for the first time in Galicia, her performance thinging bodies;
a study of the autonomous processes in choreography, the many different
presences created in a subject and the possible ways to create
non-subjective contexts and situations dealing with relationships.
The
performancewill be accompanied by a workshop given by Ayşe Orhon
targetting students and professionals in the world of art or any person
interested in the topic.
The
second program also includes a talk by Victoria Pérez Royo professor of
aesthetics and art theory from the Philosophy Department of the
University of Zaragoza. She will analyse how the different strategies
involved in the implication of the individual body and the body as a
group determine the processes of collective negotiation.

De cuerpo en lugar es un programa internacional de artes vivas en el espacio museístico articulado alrededor de las propuestas performativas Ministerio de Asuntos del Movimiento (BMfB), de la performer chilena Amanda Piña, y thinging bodies, de la artista turca Ayşe Orhon.
Con
el objetivo de fortalecer la continuidad entre la danza contemporánea y
la acción performativa, este ciclo propone un programa estructurado en
tres campos de intervención. A través de performances,
talleres de artista y presentaciones de investigadores, los
participantes en la actividad ahondarán en las relaciones entre
movimiento, cuerpo, producción de espacio público y procesos
instituyentes.
Se
trata de crear la posibilidad, fundamental para una buena recepción de
las artes vivas en un medio como el museo, de articular un dispositivo
que, en su expansión pedagógica, performativa y reflexiva, no solo
atienda a la visibilización del trabajo de performance sino
a la creación de un contexto que posibilite la relación, el
pensamiento, la investigación y el discurso alrededor de su práctica.
El
programa consta de dos ciclos de intervenciones centrados en las
temáticas de parainstitucionalidad y movimiento, y cuerpo y potencia,
respectivamente.
Todas
las actividades son abiertas y gratuitas excepto los talleres, para los
que es necesario inscribirse y pagar la matrícula correspondiente (25 €).
PARAINSTITUCIONALIDAD Y MOVIMIENTO
1erCICLO
Este
es un ciclo de programación expandida sobre prácticas de
parainstitucionalidad y movimiento del cuerpo en el espacio público como
formas instituyentes.
Entendiendo
los procesos instituyentes como aquellos que mediante un desbordamiento
extradisciplinar consiguen constituirse en una forma de
autoorganización capaz de transformar la institucionalidad
preestablecida,
este
primer ciclo propone el estudio y la experimentación del movimiento del
cuerpo en el espacio público y de las experiencias que ese movimiento
puede producir con el fin de potenciar posibles procesos instituyentes
en el contexto local.
En este ciclo se presentará, por primera vez en Galicia, el Ministerio de Asuntos del Movimiento de Austria (BMfB), que promueve la creación de nuevas formas de institucionalidad con reconocimiento legal. Además, la performer Amanda Piña dirigirá el taller El cuerpo político / la coreografía en el ámbito de la desobediencia corporal.www.BMfB.at
Se
constituirá el Instituto Gallego de Praxis Actual (IGAPA), entidad
análoga al BMfB en Galicia, con el objetivo de promover una comunidad
profesional y ciudadana alrededor de nuevas formas de hacer en los
campos artístico y social.
Paralelamente se desarrollarán las jornadas Procesos instituyentes en la praxis artística actual dirigidas por la crítica cultural Ania González y el artista sonoro y programador Horacio González.

CUERPO Y POTENCIA
2ºCICLO
El
segundo ciclo se presenta como una reflexión en torno al cuerpo y a su
potencialidad. Parafraseando la célebre sentencia del filósofo B.
Spinoza sobre lo que puede un cuerpo, “De cuerpo en lugar”, nos
preguntamos, ¿cuánto y cuántos cuerpos pueden?, una cuestión fundamental
para deslindar los significados implicados en la danza, el arte, el
cuerpo y la colectividad.
En esta ocasión la artista y coreógrafa turca Ayşe Orhon presenta, por primera vez en Galicia, su performance thinging bodies;
una investigación sobre los procesos autónomos en la coreografía, las
presencias múltiples creadas en un sujeto y las posibles maneras de
crear contextos y situaciones relacionales no subjetivas.
La performance irá acompañada de un taller con Ayşe Orhon dirigido a estudiantes y profesionales de las artes y a cualquier persona interesada en el tema propuesto.
Como
parte de este segundo ciclo tendrá lugar a charla de la profesora de
estética y teoría de las artes de la Facultad de Filosofía de la
Universidad de Zaragoza Victoria Pérez Royo, en la que se analizará cómo
las diversas estrategias que exploran la implicación del cuerpo
individual y grupal determinan los procesos de negociación colectiva.
